Welcome to the World of Science
I’m Ms. Hart, and I’m thrilled to guide you through the exciting and ever-evolving world of science. This year, we’ll explore the forces that shape our planet, the amazing ways our bodies heal, and the brilliant engineering feats of ancient civilizations. Whether we’re discovering how heat travels, investigating the power of natural disasters, or building ancient Egyptian structures, each lesson will bring us closer to understanding the incredible world around us.
What Makes This Science Class Special
Science in this class is all about hands-on learning and real-world connections. In our Save the Penguin project, we’ll learn how thermal energy works by keeping a penguin safe from the cold. We’ll dive into weather patterns, natural disasters, and plate tectonics, exploring how these forces shape our planet and how we can prepare for them. You’ll also get to take on the role of an engineer as we learn about Ancient Egypt’s incredible structures and how they solved engineering challenges. And finally, we’ll explore the healing of the body—learning about the cells and systems that keep us alive and healthy.
Let’s Get Started
In this class, we’re going to ask big questions, explore fascinating topics, and, of course, experiment with real-world science. Are you ready to start your journey of discovery? Check out the course overview and see what’s in store for this year!
