Science in this class is all about hands-on discovery, critical thinking, and connecting classroom concepts to the real world. We’ll dive into the world of energy by exploring how electromagnetism generates power, comparing renewable and nonrenewable sources, and analyzing the future of nuclear energy. Next, we'll uncover the science of waves to see how modern technology uses them and how living things evolved to communicate through them. Students will model atomic structures, track energy transfers, and investigate how our bodies rearrange food molecules for growth and fuel. Finally, we’ll trace how solar energy flows through food webs, how decomposers cycle vital nutrients back into the earth, and how small shifts and human choices impact the balance and sustainability of ecosystems.
